The Village of Cadiz, Ohio is pursuing funding for a project that will construct collection system lines with the necessary components to provide sanitary sewer service to approximately 37 structures located in the corporation limits of Cadiz. These structures currently receive Village of Cadiz water service but are not provided sanitary sewer service. Some of these structures have failing or partially failing on lot wastewater treatment units. Connection to the Village's sanitary sewer system will eliminate the failing on lot wastewater systems and stop the flow of untreated sewage from flowing into roadside ditches, steams, and private properties.
Some owners of these properties have requested the village to provide them with sanitary
sewer service. The Village of Cadiz desires to provide sanitary sewer service to these structures
if an affordable funding package is available for the project.
The Village will post information about the project on their website. Project information is
posted in the village’s municipal building.
Preliminary cost for the project is estimated to be $1,650,000. This includes areas of East
Market Street and Charleston Street. The project area is shown in the attached drawing.
