John Vermillion Jr.Councilman Vermillion has been a lifelong resident of Cadiz with his two sons, Jonathan and Clayton, four dogs, Maverick, Bunkers, Duke, and Cooper, and a cat, Fluffalufagus. John has been a member of the Cadiz Fire Department for 22 years. He enjoys working in his garage, boating, and riding trails on their side by side. John is a 2001 graduate of Harrison Central High School. He currently works for LKQ Corporation as a Sales manager based out of Harrisville, Ohio. He also currently works for Flashover Fire Equipment as a Salesman based out of McKeesport, Pa. John is serving on Council because he loves serving for his community. John also enjoys all the residents, having a voice for them, and trying to help them in the smallest way. John stated "I encourage everyone to get involved in your community. You never know how far the smallest act of kindness may go for someone. We have that small town feeling and it makes Cadiz a special place." Councilman Vermillion is serving as our Council President and currently on the following committees: Finance, Street (Chair), Property & Lights, Employee relations, Safety (Chair), Water/sewer (Chair), CIC, and ARP. |
Salvatore (Sal) DelucaCouncilman Deluca has been a resident of Cadiz for over a decade with his wife, Amanda, and their two children, Jackson and Monroe and their two dogs, Stitch and Bentley. His wife, Amanda, owns Amanda's Dance Academy in Cadiz. Sal attends the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz where his family are members and helps with church events like VBS and their Family Fall Festival. He enjoys golf, building trains layouts with Jackson, and is a member of Vintage Fitness. Sal received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering technology at the University of Akron. He currently works for Dynapar Corporation as a Product Manager based out of Elizabethtown, NC. Sal is serving on Council to become more involved in the community where his wife and him are raising their family. Sal stated, " My wife and I believe Harrison County is a great place to raise a family." Councilman Deluca is currently serving on the following committees: Finance (Chair), emergency services, water/sewer, CIC, and ARP. |
William (Billy) HydeCouncilman Hyde has been a resident of Cadiz for 33 years and in Harrison County his entire life with his wife, Courtney, and their two daughters, Averee and Brynlee. Billy is a trustee for the Cadiz Girls Softball Association. He also showed village employees how to convert the uptown lights to LEDs from the old incandescent bulbs. He enjoys hunting, fishing, coaching, hiking, and 4-H. Billy is a 1999 graduate of Cadiz High School and received his associate degree in industrial Electronics from Belmont Tech College. He has been working at Consol Energy from 2003 and currently a Shift Electrical Supervisor. Billy is serving on Council to help make decisions and recommendations to better our village for the present and the future. Councilman Hyde is currently serving on the following committees: Police, Youth & Recreation, and Safety. |
Eric MillerCouncilman Miller has been a resident of Cadiz for 68 years with his wife, Kimberly, of 33 years. Eric attends Saint James Church and serves as assistance Pastor and member of the Choir. He is a Karate instructor and enjoys weightlifting and woodwork. Eric is a 1973 graduate of Cadiz High School. He is retired from Labor Hall 809. Eric is serving on Council to be a voice for those not heard. Councilman Miller believes "To make a change, you have to be willing to work to get it done." Councilman Miller is currently serving on the following committees: Police (Chair), Property & Lights (Chair), and Employee Relations (Chair). |
Albert PetersCouncilman Peters has been a resident of Cadiz for 23 years with his daughters, Megan and Andrea Davis. Albert is a Son of the American Legion and a member of the Cadiz Business Association. He enjoys watching football and playing cards. Albert received his associate degree in science and bachelor's degree in Hospital Management. He currently works for the Harrison County Home as their Administrator. Albert is serving on Council to help serve the Village of Cadiz citizens to the best of his ability and help the village grow in many ways. Councilman Peters is currently serving on the following committees: Finance, Street, Police, Cemetery, Property & Lights, and Employee Relations. |
Derek SefsickCouncilman Sefsick has been a resident of Cadiz for 30 plus years with his wife, Dana, and their two children, Finn and Heath. Derek is the head coach for Harrison Central Youth Wrestling program and a coach for Youth Baseball and Youth Flag Football. He enjoys sports, fishing, boating and camping. Derek received his associate degree in electronic engineering technology and master's degree in occupational safety and health. He currently works for MPLX as an instrumentation and Electrical technician at the Hopedale/Jewett Branch. Derek is serving on Council to help make improvements to the village. Derek stated " Having young kids, I feel it is important to make this village safe and help attract other families with children to the area. Councilman Sefsick is currently serving on the following committees: Street, Emergency Services (Chair), Youth & Recreation (Chair), Water/Sewer. |
